Reciently, I have sorta converted from not believing. Just as I have so much shit in life, that it gives a safety to think something/one is helping you along the way, but unless I was 100% sure, I would never life my life to be religion based, and I don't like my life towards heaven, because if heaven is just a great life, then why can't this be heaven?

Reciently, I have sorta converted from not believing. Just as I have so much shit in life, that it gives a safety to think something/one is helping you along the way, but unless I was 100% sure, I would never life my life to be religion based, and I don't like my life towards heaven, because if heaven is just a great life, then why can't this be heaven?

Yeah, Jasons right on most of that. Althought I do like having the idea of a god, I still start any prayer with ''if you are real...''. I obviously have much higher doubts than beliefs, and in almost every thread i've ever posted relating to this has had a high content of blasphemy, since I have started this belief, it seems things have been going my way more, most likley 100% coincidence, but I opened my mind to the possibility now. My fully logical side thinks of the bible to be a metaphore for the perfect life according to ancient beliefs, hence stoning gays and burning period encountered chairs, but was taken into a literal meaning.
The main problem I have with trusting my life to it is, believing in god is not having faith IN god, it's having faith in man, as it is man who has seen god, it is man who has encountered god, it is man who wrote the bible, so are you fully happy with entrusting your entire life into the stories of strangers?

God gave us freedom of choice in my opinion and he loves us all very deeply
see the problem is we apply human description to a being(if thats is what we can classify him under i think he is far pass that) that is not subject to any laws of this universe. He created us in the Garden of Eden and he gave us freedom of choice(multiply and be fruitful-which is why he created us in the form of man) now we have a spirit and we have a body God wants us to be strong. Most people feel better about something when they truly appreciate it so eternal life is just like that. Remember human beings are not like God nor is Satan. God is unimaginable which is why some everyone falls short(including myself) of truly understanding. It is a blessing that i know for an undisputable fact that Jesus existed. god came as Jesus and died for our sins. God seems funny becuase were human. Just like an animal looks at us.
evolution is okay but do research thre is many missing pieces. There is historical proof of both Jesus and Pual and alot of others and God does not make people suffer. He allows it. Human life is temporary i could die right now and as long as i was going to heaven i wouldnt care
