Based on what I've read about the situation, he should have been found guilty.

Lol...that's why I added the caveat "based on what I've read about the situation." I'm not presuming to know everything about the situation. And to be perfectly honest, even if I was one of the jury members who debated for 18 hours, I still wouldn't know everything about the situation and whatever my final conclusion was would still be "based on what I've learned about the situation." Do I have a right to form an opinion based on what I know about something? Yes.

I hear you bro. And you're right...I don't know everything about the situation...not even close. But I know that if I had a gun and ever followed ANYBODY while I had that gun with me, I'm fully prepared to used it, and I personally wouldn't follow somebody unless they had done something. I'm not saying Zimmerman is like me or that he should be, but however Trayvon reacted, maybe Trayvon snapped on him and it became a matter of self defense, just that tidbit of information alone tells me Zimmerman, at least on some level, initiated the confrontation.

I'm not on the "INJUSTICE Bandwagon" by any degree But from what I've read and seen I think ZIMMERMAN SHOULD HAVE BEEN FOUND GUILTY OF SOMETHING..........he says he was standing his ground well Trayvon was "standing his ground" If I'm walking home from a store and someone starts following me I'de probably confront him too

I need to read into this more, but from what I've grasped so far Zimmerman pursued Martin without reason and against police advice, which would suggest to me that at least a charge of manslaughter would be applicable as Zimmerman himself instigated the situation and thus a degree of conscious responsibility is present: Zimmerman followed the kid which then lead to the confrontation; the chain of causation begins with Zimmerman, which - to me - means he's certainly guilty of something given that a life was taken unnecessarily.
Like I said though, I'm not fully informed. Will delve into and return.
