The story is good. I played the first two, not knowing they left it on a cliffhanger and an existing antagonist. Online just needs sniping and it's good.

MW2 was alright, levels werent great and stuff. Black Ops main problem was they deleted sniping and few levels have good cover. MW2's problem was the mechanics were slightly changed and the guns werent as good. They just need to find a medium between the two.
COD 4 is still the best. It includes every aspect of the game. The only downside is the improvments hadent been added at that time.

look, mw2 is definately the funnest of them all...yes, mw2 guns are un-balanced, but cod4 bores the fuck out of me...straight out.
black ops was the best to me, but yet again, it is opinionated

I hate the idea of "Lets run around shooting". Its boring to me. I like to lurk and shit and not be seen, camping spot to spot into their side and stuff. Black Ops was just running and shooting. I do well and everything, but it's not as fun.
MW 2 was good. Wassent played enough because B.O. came out quite soon after. The levels weren't great and the guns weren't brilliant, but it had it's moments. Knifing was added to be an actually style, which should be reprised. Commando + Lightweight.
MW 1 to me had everything really. Large levels where you could use any gun you wanted, small levels for the chaos players and solid although standard guns.
MW 2 I probably did the worst in, and never made it to pretigue. I think I got to 68 or something. I got to I think 4th in MW 1 and didn't prestigue in B.O. due to getting all perks.

yeh, perks in bo are a pain to get...well, again, that is the problem for me w/ mw2...there is too much going on, particularly w/ the setting...and you said it, black ops was mainly runnin and gunnin...
and yeh, i didn't prestige in mw2..bo was the first time i ever played 1st person shooter online...
