need opinions/help
im in the final stages of completing my mixtape, and ive come to the hardest part of the whole project - assembling the songs for the perfect tracklist
now im wondering, is there a science to this or do you just throw any collection of songs together and call it a mixtape? one of the biggest criticisms that stuck with me from my last tape was how the tracks were ordered - which i thought, after careful consideration, i had nailed...so its back to the drawing board in regards to my theory on creating tracklists and i could use your help
what goes into the perfect tracklist? as the artist, should i group the different topics of each of the songs and keep them together, or space them out? should i space out the stronger tracks, or keep them together?

Well for say a concept mixtape, it would be somewhat like a story. But I would keep all of the better tracks spaced out, and let the other tracks that are closest related to those maybe build up to those tracks. Iunno. I've never done this. Lol.
