Also, the Grand Championship has always been this way. Other member's whether noobs or just shite, have the right to be in the tourney as much as the 'forum heads' do. The Grand Championship is a 64 man tourney. if it was invitational, it wouldn't be a 64 man tourney. (due to activity)

So instead of all 64 entrants being from the top 64 of the previous month, we can do top 48 monthly qualifiers get placement then reserve the remaining 16 slots for invited battlers who may not have been as active in the qualifying month.
A totally invitational tournament is not a GC even if it carries a blue title. That's more like a Beastmode or Untouchables or All-Star tourney.
