Agree. What you mentioned is basically corporatism and will probably be the downfall of our society.

Yea, I think it's related to every other thing folks mention...like pollution and wars, etc. Companies intentionally make shit to not last because they want you to buy another one after a while so they can make more money. That contributes to waste and pollution. Apple was caught slowing down older iPhones, for example. Most of our governments are in service of international corporations, and a lot of the wars that we find ourselves in are due to the interests of these companies, regardless of what ideological or humanitarian selling points they use. It's almost always mostly about oil, cobalt, access to mines, etc. A certain type of capitalism is at the root of it all.
