i like being drunk, its the process i hate..also, ive never woken up one morning saying 'i wish i never smoked that last night'..theyre polar opposites in my opinion..as for being productive while high (even more so), thats a mindset i buy into..its easy to let the high take you over, thats how the generic pothead term was coined..but i agree that it can be channeled and used..vacuuming in particular is amazing while high

Good for you KK. I've heard that weed affects different people in different ways when they smoke it. I suspect the same is true when people try to quit. For that reason, I don't think things would go as smoothly for everyone as it did for you if they tried to quit cold turkey in the same way. Contrary to popular belief, weed is addictive, at least for some people, and the withdrawal symptoms vary.
Case in point: a few years ago, I had convinced one of my boys to give up marijuana. There were a lot of things going on in his life at that particular moment, including not getting enough sleep and other stress factors. But to make a long story short, he started hallucinating and he ended up in the psych ward. I'm not blaming that entirely on him giving up weed, but when I researched the withdrawal symptoms from THC, one of the effects that quitting it can have that was listed was schizophrenia. I think his lack of sleep combined with other stressful things that were going on in his life at the time played a role, but him also trying to give up weed cold turkey when prior to that he was a heavy smoker also was a factor. Ever since that happened, I've never try to convince anyone to give up weed again. But it's good to hear a story of it going well though.

Weed smokers like to tell a big story of some bullshit. Some weed smokers will have you believe that it cures cancer. But the summary is that it IS bad for you, as is alcohol and a lot of other shit. I'd even like to give up drinking if it wasn't the only thing I look forward to each week.

Or, in my case every day.

Also, I'm a little surprised that you lost weight getting off weed. I understand there is a whole stigma about how weed makes you fat, but there has been some research as of late showing that weed makes you lose weight because it regulates your blood sugar. Interesting.
