I did high intensity interval training and managed to get an OK six pack in about 12 weeks, but my general muscle mass dropped too; hence why I'm bulking now. You can't get that sort of full body transformation - or drop all your body fat for the "perfect six pack" - in 12 weeks (unless you're already fairly slim). I was never close to fat, average build if anything, and the HIIT helped me drop that excess fat brilliantly, but the sheer amount of cardio meant I was burning too many calories and losing mass. Also, if you're not making every calorie you eat count you'll never get that ripped look.
Just be careful with it dude, it's great for losing weight, but if you're trying to gain muscle as you stated in a previous thread then don't worry about the 6 pack cutting stuff now or you'll end up one of this weird sticky skinny guys with pencil thin arms and legs and a point blank out-of-place six pack.
