I like to think there is somewhat of a possibility, and I will still live my life with a certain degree of following to the bible, which is a surprise because as we all know I'm a MASSIVE sceptic.
But that aside, this is my theory on the bible and god...
The bible was written by a selection of people as a guide for a happy and caring life. There were rules true to the time, and they planned for it to be followed, and in doing so they needed to add the godly spiritual element to it.
Wether Jesus actually existed or not I'm not sure. There is some actual evidence to say he does, but Jesus from my research is remarkabley similar to an array of Egyption gods which he seems to be created to be the combination of all of them.
Wether the old and new testiment were actually different times or not I'm also not sure. Perhaps Jews only receivd the old testiment or something.
I am very very sceptical about it, but like I did years ago, I don't want to make myself a complete disbeliever.

yer ive thought about what you just said alot i remember something you might find interesting is the timing of when jesus was here and also the princibles behind why he was and what he did the time he came was perfect then in a way and still very stringly is carried on today .
it could be all thought over but daym ! thats why there is proficies and foretold things that have happend
lol call me crazy but yo i beleive in more then our physical being considering us .
and in a way i found an over veiw of everything thats happend the way it has and the laws that have been told too us through the bible still are VeRy activly working every day.
its a shame the word has been so tampered with but beyond all the bullshit i think with a little bit of effort on our behalf we can get the message .
lol 1 thing i found real funny is it sais in the bible not too um like argue over his word yet look @ the denomination and seperation between the millions of beleivers
i also beleive in a good aND BAD but dont beleive in hellfire .
all weve done making our own opinions and beleiving in them is makes people searching for truth sceptic about god because of the lies! and leaves beleivers unfullfilled because of self beleives taught ..

Jesus was a real person. I don't think most people dispute that fact.
But the bible wasn't written so we can live a happy life.
Or, you know. We wouldn't have all these stories about god getting angry and killing people or the whatnot.
There are too many problems in the bible for it to be taken seriously. Sorry.

And yet we can explain everything that happens after the big bang.
We can explain how life evolved and was born. Were we there? No. But we have plausible ideas.
And I find it hard to belive we are alone simply because of the infinite size of the universe.
And it just happens. Sorry. I know people wanna think theyre part of some bigger....something, but it's not like that. Once again, we have the science we need to get rid of god.
Do the research and you'll realize that it's not that hard to believe.

Louie, killing someones etc. is pretty much going against a happy life. Add an egyption like god who will smite you if you step out of life, and you have the fear preventing people from doing so.

I believe you're referring to Horus, also, don't forget the 100's of other mythical characters in and around the Mediterranean who share the same story as Jesus.
