every hook on every track is 8 bars .... but with verses plenty of rappers don't stick to the 16 bars .... you'll sometimes see eminem or jay z drop 40 bars on one verse or w/e ... you can drop 16...20 ...24 .. 28 ... 32 ... etc ..etc ... it goes up in fours .... if you don't stick to that your verse is gonna end short

each bar is on a different line ..... some are long and some are very very short .... one word even...which is down to either a pause at the start or just elongating/half singing that bar ..... the best way to usualy tell when a bar ends is ... it'll have a word (or more) at the end that'll rhyme with the end of the next bar.... like wayne's verse here ..... in fact ... he mostly rhymes a word with itself here ... smh ... lol .... then you got shit like TI here .. where his rhyme schemes are ridiculous ... sometimes he rhymes the start of one bar with the end of the next while rhyming the end of that first bar with the start of the second one .... like this
