I'm sorry, but right now readability on this site is fucking pathetic. It's true.

Even people on the forums here have average/below average readability, and I know it's not the most talked about subject around here, (compared to say, punches), but is very important.

This isn't supposed to be the bible on the subject, but it is some good starting guidelines toward this shit.

From the very basics.

Multies: I know everyone likes to diss them on here, but they really do feed into everything else you do.

I think people here understand the basics, but not much past that.

Here is a basic ass multie I seen the other day: someone rhyming "poor bitch bastard" with "swords rip faster"

You gotta be kidding me. this sounds unnatural and is garbage. You don't have to rhyme word for word, please.

Here's a dope ass one I seen today: "Ring on saturn" w/ "Breathing habit"

Dat's the fucking way you do it. What makes this great?? Syllables, they are the biggest thing you can do for your multies.

Rhyme by syllable, not word. Nothing in the second pair really rhymed precisely, but check the syllables "ring-on-sa-turn" brea-thin-ha-bit" 4. Count em'.

You can have something that hardly rhymes work great when you match syllables. It's really very easy once you get it down. (although having it rhyme is almost a good thing)

Why is this important??? It funnels into not forcing your multies. When your stuck in the phase of straight rhyming, your creativity is constricted. When you rhyme w/syllables your options are almost limitless, you can do so much more, this brings us into our next topic...

Not forcing your multies.

This is important folks. If it woulnd't sound at least somewhat right in a sentence, don't say it. if it's worded in a way no-body would ever talk, or even pushed the limits of not making sense?? don't use it.

Try to keep it somewhat natural, keep is a much as you would really say it as you possibly can. Every single person who has ever been great on this site has mastered this, it is important folks.

Lemme give you an example what happens when you put these two concepts together.

Here's part of a verse from MC JUICE, one of my favorites:

"It's countless how many rappers over vinyl we scar,
I just rotate and dislocate your spine if we spar,
even freestyle in french when i'm rhyming abroad,
i'm in the party rhymin off of weed, lime and cigars
I battle rappers, you battle rappers tryna be hard?
raps blackjack and juice is like a primary card
you secondary, that's why you gotta rhyme with a squad
cuz genetically ya'll nigga's is designed to be flawed"

Perfect.

Seriously, it matters.

This bleeds into my next point.

On Letsbeef. If you start a multi scheme....FINISH IT W/A PUNCH seriously. don't leave it hanging, finish the damn thing. I"m tired as fuck of seeing a couple multies and nothing else. It just doesn't flow right w/o it.

That's it for now. I just had to make this, readability on here is painful at times.

This is something I understand. I never felt 'capping multies' i have always felt that if someone laces a verse ..all the reader has to do is read the verse in order and it should rhyme AND make sense...

example: our Topical Battle.. not a damn thing was capped however both our verses were fluid and there wasn't any issue with "flow" or "cadence" in the verses..
