The majority of MMA heavyweights> The majority of heavyweight boxers, but the best boxers > the best mma fighters.

There are much less iconic figures in MMA, there is much less athletisicm (unless you highly credit kicking) and personally it is no where near as entertaining. There are surprisingly less massive knockouts aswell.

Some do, but there are ALOT of mma fighters who don't train stand up much, and there is very little demand compaired to boxing on the ground game, coming from experience. Most MMA fighters do a slight course in muay thai, judo etc. and basically fight with kickboxing and a slightly different grappling techniques.
