edge and i are working on creating a new guide for rookies, and we will send a scripted message to all new comers, but we will also serve as their tour guides through lb and answer any questions they have. it's something that happens eventually if someone stays but, this will be a much more welcoming process.

As I just stated, receiving a message from an actual user is more pleasantly welcoming than having a bot programmed to send that message.

If I saw SYSTEM send me a message, I would be far less ecstatic about it than an actual user sending me a message. Also, a real person sending that message would give the recipient the opportunity to message the guide back with further questions.

SYSTEM sending an automated message would have to be further programmed to answer questions and that would take way too much time and effort. The easier solution would to just make a Greeters club.

But you could auto send it from NOBLEs account. If the message is the EXACT same, no one is going to know the difference between automated and not.
