DACA
What are your views on the Trump administration's move to end the program that allowed non-criminal people who were brought into the country illegally as kids to stay and work? Are you for it? Against it?

the dudes got a weird complex with immigrants, but we'll see if he was right if this goes through & crime statistics change at all / if there are any minor economical shifts. On a case to case basis though I can see this being insane to a lot of people.

I don't really see how people can have a massive issue when the word "illegal" is right in the name. I'm not sure where my opinion on strict borders is right now. It's hard to really keep a stance when cunts keep blowing everything up. But really, there is a route to gaining access to America. If people wish to go against those rules and enter illegally, then they should be subject to whatever the punishment is/was.
Erupt, can't she simply renew her visa in the next 2 years?

This particular immigration policy will not affect crime statistics whatsoever because DACA recipients are specifically those with no criminal records. As far as undocumented immigrants who do commit crimes, it has been the practice to deport them once they commit a felony since long before Trump got into office. There may be economic shifts, but it won't be for the betterment of the country because DACA recipients are gainfully employed, so a lot of companies will lose workers, most of them in skilled or educated positions. The CEO's of Facebook, Google, and other major companies have came out and spoke against this for partly this reason.

The DACA recipients are people who were brought to the US as kids, maybe at age 2 or age 5, but certainly under age 16. A two-year-old can't purchase a plane ticket, let alone consciously decide to enter another country illegally on their own. So their being there illegally is through no fault of their own. How a government responds to that has to be a lot more sensitive than using "whatever the punishment is" because you're talking about uprooting and displacing people...possibly ruining their lives. Law has to consider the consequences of its own execution.

Forget ethics or feelings about displacing your fellow man, Trump needs to use his head...DACA pertains to people under 36 years old and a lot of the people who receive this reprieve are working and/or students. Illegals and their employers are responsible for over $13 billion in payroll taxes every year. They pay billions in property taxes and other types of taxes too. Those numbers are only gonna grow because Jose the pool cleaner's kid is getting an education and growing up to be Pedro the doctor or Miguel the engineer. I understand the President's desire to keep those on the outside on the outside, getting rid of the criminals of the bunch on the inside, but why get rid of a huge revenue stream for the government while ridding it of those are taking the time to contribute or learn to contribute positively to our society? Doesn't make sense...

I've seen you before being pro-reparations from people who's family benefitted from owning slaves. So you are for them being accountable for the illegal (or legal) actions of people who are probably a good 3 generations down a family lineage, but not for someone being held accountable to the illegal immigration of their actual parents?
