The point of having the FVC is so that certain members with good reputations have more voting power. Since the Admins of the site already have more voting power than FVC members do, this is completely pointless.

Not entirely. Voting power is not what this is about, it's about the overall rate and rank of each emcee that gets effected by uneducated votes/rates. I understand voting power plays a role in this, but that's not it. It's to make emcees overall skills/ratings more accurately stable and to make it less of a pain for the battlers and voters. It would also keep the activity up on the site, because think about it, people would be honored to have their battles voted on by Hall of Famers and Admins who know their stuff. Plus, the current FVC members aren't too active anyway.

Your #1 problem here is the fact that I don't believe there is a single Hall of Famer who is regularly active on the site. Most of them are long-gone. The admins aren't too active, either, for the most part. Also, many of the people in the Hall of Fame aren't actually even that good, by modern standards; they just happened to be there at a time when their skill was relatively higher. Look at the stuff Real Talk was putting out - unless he came back and improved a ton, that dude wouldn't make it to the quarterfinals in any tournament today.

Man, but Real Talk's track and cypher game was top notch. That is true tho.. Not many are, but the ones who are, are. It doesn't need to be that many in it 3-5 is enough. Just as long as emcees are getting the rates they deserve from more battle rap knowledgeable vets.

With this in mind, I like your idea, but I don't think that what you are proposing should replace the FVC. I think it would do better to be a separate entity entirely; we could call it something like the Official Panel, the High Council, or perhaps Internet Court. It would all work.

But what about the rating of battles? We could keep both, but they should be the ones judging our skills/rating. Others are to judge only the victor of each battle.
