Rhyming Patterns
I wanted to ask which rhyming scheme is best to use if only one or mixing it up in the whole verse. For ex. The rhyming scheme AABA seems to be used alot here, i tent to switch up from ABBA to AABA or ABAB oR AABB i was wondering which is best to use or if switching it up constantly the way to go.

ABBA is tacky and so is ABAB. I don't understand how AABA is a rhyming scheme when there is a lone "B", what's it supposed to rhyme with as such?
All the talent and swag lies in the AAAA style. But that's just my two cents, it's all stylistic really. Never ever use a separate scheme per bar is one thing I'll say for definite, that shit is lame, forced and requires no real rhyming skill or consistency whatsoever.

---------- Post added at 09:16 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:08 AM ----------
AABA is the pattern i seen most people on here utilize, meaning yea nothing rhymes with that lone ass B, im not too fond of keeping the same rhyming patern but i guess thats why i started this topic, wanna see where everyone stands on this.

LMFAOO
Personally i find AAAA or AABBA (with B as small inner multi sets) to work well.
Also, they're the rhyme schemes. Not punch/punch/metaphor/punch. Just so ya know

Not really. All depends on the length of each individual line. If the lines are long & stretched then AAAA would be best suited for it. If it's a quick flowing bar, i'd go for the AABBA...

It doesn't work like that. Rhyming structure takes into account only the rhymes you don't count the metaphor.
AAAA is the way to go nowadays and is the only structure I see among the best battlers. Back in the day ABBA or AABBA were popular but I've never found them to flow as well or be as easy to follow as a simple AAAA.

I didnt think patter mattered much as long as the flow was good and the verse read well.

Yeah but rhyming pattern can make a big difference to how the verse flows and reads
