in all seriousness though @Pugz nobodys sayin there's a site better than LB. I'm just sayin ya'll are taking it too easy and sitting there idle when you should be grinding & hiring people for all kinds of things, instead of relying on the not-so-available pseudo

It makes more sense to me to pour a shit load of money in making the best battle site even better, so you can generate more revenue, rather than letting something this big & great die

& Dying is exactly what its doing, look up the statistics for this site. Traffic, page views.. Everything important to a rap community and search engines point downwards

The donation button with a goal is very realistic and its a great idea @Erebus ... Tons of sites do it, and tons of sites do other kinds of kickstarters to get up & running like providing incentives for bringing in new members (affiliate/referral systems, etc etc)

but the problem I have with donating to the site is this...given your very very spotty track record (ya'll told us LBV4 would come at least 5 times and are 0 for 5), I have trouble giving money to a website that doesn't deliver, or hasn't since 2006 at least.

The skin overhaul is probably the most needed face-lift. Some of us have stared at this navy blue theme for 6-7 years (speaking for myself)

But you can do other things to expand the site from a battle site to a hip-hop community in general. Make the track section more social-media like, add likes to songs, add profile page music like MySpace, add awards and points in the forums that can be redeemed for shit like colored usernames, or an awards system where awards are given automatically based on certain criterias.. like X amount of wins gets you a badge under your username automatically, without having to ask a mod to do it. X amount of posts gets you this. doing X and Y earns you points which you can redeem on....emcee items? Idk. U get the idea

There are TONS of things you can do to this site to make it better and generate revenue

DatPiff was considered one of the most powerful websites in the world not long ago. It's credited with building up Wiz Khalifa.

Sure, I love LB, but it's been on the decline for years. We can appreciate what we've got, or make it better.

The facts: LB is on the decline
The facts: The administration sits idle and they're always 'programming' and 'coding' with nothing to show for it... Oh, the occasional audio player or new forum board isn't impressive btw

So when you sit idle and the site is dying, you shouldn't be going around asking people to get people on your site. You shouldn't be asking people to advertise LB. You shouldn't be adding radio stations and tweaking minor shit.

^ This has all been done over and over again, and the result is the continuous decline of the site. That's the definition of insanity. It's time to make a move, it's now or never.

& I'm not saying that on some asshole shit, I'm saying it because LB is on the verge of failing and right now I'm sure you're losing more money keeping LB up than what you're making from LB. All I'm sayin is, its time to put the big-boy pants on

Do you even realize what you have @Pugz ? I'd be dedicating hours and hours into this. I know people have different priorities, jobs, wives, kids.. But this is a money pit that could become a jackpot easily

@Phil and godbody I am working hard on getting partnerships and affiliations with other sites.. thats been my focus over the past few months.. we got kingice.com on board.. im in talks with thisis50.com to see about some sponsership for our site right now.. I am making moves on that front

Ye i wouldnt mind donating more for a good cause. I believe founding the donor group with @NOBLE was a good step forward, it seems the people in the group likes the idea, but it doesnt really help bring new heads in. And @Pugz I was thinking instead of focusing on a reddit page itself, its 5 dollars per 1k 'impressions' for a ad placed on random reddit pages at random times. Considering one page alone has over 160k subscribers, I see that being more beneficial and noticable. Not saying making the page like i planned won't help, but advertising it first followed by a decent coded page would attract more people.
