East Coast vs West Coast?
The never ending debate. I love both of them. East Coast rap told alot of stories and alot of them were dark.
But honestly, I love the west coast. West Coast rap was grimey as fuck and the beats were always bouncey.

Hmmm.... East Coast rappers seem to be better lyrically, they have that old school underground feel most times to, rugged an raw an nice with the flow. West Coast rappers lyrics are real simple some times but the delivery and sound with the bouncy beats is dope, they also have some good story tellers.
I like a little of both but Id properly give it to East Coast.

Growing up on the West Coast, I've got to say West Coast.
They brought fucking classics man.
That's not to say I don't give mad props to the East Coast and most of my favorite rappers are from there but there's just something about Cali beats and lyrics that give you a different feeling. I just couldn't really identify with Big L spitting about 139 & Lenox, Nas spitting about Queensbridge, Jay talking about Marcy, etc. I understand poverty especially coming from the 3rd World but I just didn't know those blocks or those areas like that.
I was just listening to Shook Ones lol

if we thinking strictly lyric wise I would say east coast are better
but west coast put out better classics thats versatile
you can basically do anything with Gin & Juice playing in the background
yall know 50 [one of yall biggest stars]
wouldn't be who he was without Dre beats homie
not to mention east coast was some haters back in the day
lets keep it 100 since God talking reckless
yall were hating on NWA and Snoop and DPG wanting to shoot a video
they wanted to put east coast artists in the video think of all the dope collabs we missed out on because of yall hating ass niggas
"west coast shooting a video we can't have that ny stand up!!!"
Pac recorded hit em up a few days later...
RIP Both Chris and Pac tho

give this man a medal
& also the West Coast had more classics? lol not even close...
Gin & Juice was a banger...California Love... Today Was A Good Day..what else?
Jay-Z is responsible for like 5 classics by himself... BIG had more hits than Pac imo... Hypnotize, Juicy, Sky's The Limit, Big Poppa...
Ma$e had some of the biggest hits back then. Ruff Ryders... Ja Rule, DMX...
& im not even talkin from a lyrical standpoint. im talkin about niggas that put out BANGERS back then..
