MXL 990 is decent fam and I believe they have a straight usb one...I had that one and the MXL 4000....both were awesome! The 4000 had an option on decreasing the DB's -10 if it was too loud but I paid $200 for the 4000...The Mxl 990 varies in type so prices differ...I bought an MXL Mic Mate to convert them to USB because the pre-amp went out...worked perfect...
