Need a new USB mic.
I've been broadcasting/recording my podcast with a thirty dollar USB mic from Target for a while now and I just really don't like it. It just isn't hot enough. I have to get right up on it in order to be heard and even then what it picks up is fairly muted. So I wanna pick something better up to record with. My budget is really small though and I've got about $100 to maybe $120 maximum I want to spend on it. I've looked at some mics on Amazon and Musician's Friend but I honestly don't know shit about khz or what a cardiod pickup pattern does so I thought I'd ask you fine folks if you could help me pick something that isn't going to be complete shit.

I was looking at this one but it started talking about Mghz and Cardioid shit and I was like "I'm just gonna ask somebody so I don't end up with a piece of shit mic I hate."
Also this one I'll take a look at MXL mics and see if they've got something in what I'm looking to spend. I just want it for my podcast and to do voice overs for Let's Plays so I don't need a super expensive ultra high quality mic. Just something that's hot enough that I don't have to be .000001 inches from the mic for it to hear me like the one I have no and is at least decently crisp and clear. |

I looked at the Blue mics but they have built in pop filters and from what I understand those kind of mics tend to have a muted sound.
