<div>Ken felt the vibration from his phone alarm, gently buzzing him awake. January 16th his phone read as he looked to where his wife used to sleep but there's nothing in its place. Getting ready for work he hops in his truck with his coffee and not spilling his cup. Notices the fuel is low so he heads to the station and starts filling it up. He got in his truck to leave and what he saw pissed him off and soured his face. It was that son of a bitch Dave, how he'd love to put that coward in his place. Ken and his soon-to-be-ex-wife Amy are in the middle of the proceedings of divorce. When Dave swooped in, knight in shining armour, appealing from his horse. Ken snapped out of his daze and started up his truck "never mind that jerk" He thought to himself and headed in the direction of his job as it's come time to work. He pulled up to his job, his boss already standing outside, arms crossed and waiting. Ken realized something is up and quickly put aside any thoughts of hating. He stepped out the truck, his boss with the look of 'we need to talk' Ken can't help but wonder is he going to have to beg and plead the boss to keep his job? "Ken, we have to let you go it's been a couple days coming but tools and the assortment are missing" "Plus you've been showing up to work drunk the past few weeks, your performance is slipping." He handed Ken his last cheque plus another envelope that he knew was his severance pay. "At least you know some of the guys working here, maybe you can use them as a reference, hey?" Ken just sighed and lowered his head, now what was he gonna do? Little voice piped up in the back of his head "Want a brew?" He thought it couldn't hurt and went to the pub as soon as it opened to drink the day away. 2 beers in and he starts to forget his troubles and helps keeps the pain at bay. He thinks of Amy and their time together and lets out the heaviest sigh. Orders a shot of tequila and slams it down, he almost feels ready to cry. Orders a double shot of Vodka then heads to his truck, it's overcast but not raining out. Starts it up, truck roars to life and he peels off and makes his way to Amy's house. To his chagrin only Amy's vehicle is there he gets out and heads for his toolbox. Pulls out a sledgehammer and makes his way across the road to the full lot. Casually knocks on the door, waits and he hears the door unlock, so politely. Ken kicks the door as soon as it opened slightly and he broke it nicely. Ken takes the sledgehammer to Amy's leg, a sickening crack, twisting it back. She cries in agony, it didn't have to be this way you just needed to wish Ken back. Sick of hearing her Ken lifts the hammer and brings it down to the floor with a squelch. Her body stops twitching after a second, Ken just smiles and calls her a whore with a belch. He sits on her couch for a minute thinking of what's he's done and reaches in his pocket. Pulls out bottle of Valium and remembers that this will help stop it. Takes a few pills and swallows then lays on the couch, getting ready to snooze away. Ken felt the vibration from his phone wake him up, January 16th his phone read, a smile on his face wondering what he's gonna do today.</div>

Village Idiot	I thought both had to write about the same topic. It feels like two different things now. Frosty verse isn't much of a story really. Not as much work put into it.
