<div><em><strong>Therapist:</strong> </em>Shaun tell me about that day, at Captain Rob's Shipping. <strong><em>Shaun:</em></strong> It still haunts me, that day isn't lost with me. It was sunny, the rays were hot, glistening. On my way to a local job listing. <em><strong>Therapist:</strong></em> It didn't occur it was in a place where many had gone missing? <strong><em>Shaun:</em></strong> I thought it wouldn't be the worst, besides, I needed work. <strong><em>Therapist:</em> </strong>Did the money meet its worth? <strong><em>Shaun:</em></strong> Not in hindsight, that sea is cursed. You see, things weren't as they seemed at first. The dock, the waves, the breezes turned, the smell of salt and ships as far as the eye can see and fleets of birds! <strong><em>Therapist:</em></strong> Sounds serene. <strong><em>Shaun:</em></strong> You couldn't find an equal peace in church... <strong><em>Therapist:</em></strong> Tell me when you would meet the crew. <strong><em>Shaun:</em></strong> <em>*Grinning*</em> They really were the sweetest group. Angela was tiny with fair skin, blonde hair, freckles, sweet perfume. Dale with three tatoo's, six foot two and reaked of booze. Henry was uh, quiet, sea sick prone, a squemish dude. <strong><em>Therapist:</em></strong> and Rob? <strong><em>Shaun:</em></strong> He was the opposite. Burly, rough, mean and crude. Has less in common with a human and more with a fiendish brute. And only demands you put the team first, and speak the truth. <strong><em>Therapist</em></strong>: And what about the state of the ship? <strong><em>Shaun:</em> </strong><em>*Chuckles*</em> a waste of a rig. Wood rot, holes, rats, basically shit. So much rust that blood and iron was tasted on lips, it was famous for this. Regardless it would sail, despite whatever shape it was in. <strong><em>Therapist:</em></strong> What were the conditions when you would leave the dock? <strong><em>Shaun:</em></strong> <em>*tenses up*</em> Nothing really seemed too off. The ship was ready, we were stocked, the air was steady and sea was calm. We'd pull anchor, the ship would creak and rock, and we were graced with a speech of Robs. <em>*Shaun daydreams a flashback*</em> </div>
<div><strong><em>Rob:</em></strong> ain't no time to be at ease ye' slobs, the sea is a beast with freakish spawns. And without me, ye' be lost so work as a team to beat the odds or be prepared to meet ye' gods.</div>
<div><strong><em>Shaun: </em></strong>Then night would fall...a chill would invade the area, the space would be filled by a blinding fog. We'd look to the moon and stars to find the sky is blocked, then BAM, our side is knocked. The initial slam was a striking force, Rob, spinning, trying to find its source. Angela, Henry, Dale and I began to be filled with fright of course. Then BOOM, suddenly the ship was rocked again, I looked over the rail and got a glimpse. Something long and dark with lots of fins, like the loch ness monsters forgotten twin. I turned to the crew and only saw Angela, Dale and Rob, and then Angela sobbed and went,<em><strong> Angela:</strong></em> <em>*hyperventilating*</em> Huh huh Henry, he he he's fallen in and gah gah got lost within! And then there was a blood curdling shriek, lighting struck and thunder then cracked! A spiked tail would whip through the rails straight through to Dale and punctured his back. It would be revealed, it resembled an electric eel, and would take Angela as a wonderful snack. Rob would be next, just another sheep for the tribute, his head would be-<em><strong>Therapist:</strong></em> <em>*Hand raised*</em> Shaun please, there's no need to continue.<em> *Shaun exhales, relieved the session has ended*</em></div>

<div>In October, it happened: we hit the sea on a boat for some salmon…“The weather will hold up, let’s go” - our leader spoke and commanded...Why was he chosen as captain? Without a vote or a ballot? He's been an overbearing jerk, so us 5 as a whole were just maddened…It’s been a short time from the shoreline, the water’s motion went rapid…The sun and clear blue sky - it was over; it vanished…A storm ensued and its gale struck in an onerous fashion…our flares were gone, and the motor was damaged…no disclosure - we’re stranded. Will we be dead or alive? Enmity between us and the Captain who said “The weather was fine”...Now woe we go through as a whole crew for that treacherous lie…WHY WAS HE CHOSEN AS CAPTAIN? Over the rest of us guys?Always insists in his decisions, with our suggestions aside…the storm calmed; the sea was no longer unsettled with tides…Captain gave one of us a raft with a compressor and ties…Told him to inflate it by putting some pressure inside…then put it out and hold it steady so we can get in the ride…So he held the raft while we were getting assembled to climb…Then our ears were met with the most dreadful of cries…He let go of the raft and went down quick as men in a dive… then blood resurfaced, it’s certain some kind of menace arrived…We called out his name and didn't get a reply…then his leg came afloat; we guessed he met his demise…Then the culprit emerged, and a chill hit us dead in the spine…something we’ve never imagined nor expected to find…What in the world was it? Was this of Aegir’s design?...It was the kind of creature no words can sketch or describe…It went back under water to eat the rest of the guy…it savored the cranium as if the head was the pie...the raft had long drifted off while we trembled and whined… the other one fit only four, but our assemblage was five… but with this creature up and about, we couldn’t trek it alive…Moments later, I inhaled and ended my breath with a sigh…It’s been hours, days, weeks? Had trouble checking the time…Finished our bread and supplies. Survival is faint and elusive…creature still encircled us, knowing we’re staying secluded…Now the ship is slowly sinking; this fate the crudest…couldn’t determine if our captain or satan induced it…Captain was off in the corner; he was hated, he knew it…He seen our faces and didn’t need a statement to prove it…So there we sat as the water began caving in too brisk...We prayed as we prepared to begin facing the music...Then the captain got up, grabbed the raft, inflated this new skiff...Does he not know there's a beast just waiting to chew him?...He then handed it to me. Told us to take it and move, then... he jumped into the sea; we were too dazed to dispute it...he waited until the creature saw him, then swam away from the crew ship... Swam fast as the creature chased with its movement...So we got in the raft and went opposite, embracing the new trip...kept looking back as our captain was fading from view quick...why was he chosen as captain? I was so scathing, abusive...but he made a decision that was brave and conclusive...So leader isn't quick to blame when the mood's grim...but takes resposibility instead of making excuses...</div>

Both done a great job here. Entertaining reads on both sides and nice approaches with the Topic. I enjoyed my winners approach more here as well as the story and picture he painted. Best of luck to whoever goes through.

S A L T	Enfinite that was dope dude. That read so easily & I dig the format you went with. I feel like you did an amazing job setting the stage. The rhymes you wove into the narrative were smooth as hell & you didn't sacrifice anything to make something work. It just flowed. Solid drop. Row answered 100%. Easily read without sacrificing quality of the narrative to make the rhymes. & the rhymes were good af. The narrative was well painted & executed. I feel like yours with regards to the topic hit the nail more on the head. This was a great read overall, pretty tough pick. Both brought some A game, props. mister jon flako Premium Member The Drunken Sober One	Fire read..for me the best of this round by far..each line had me in suspense and wondering what is gonna happen next..I hate reading but both you drew me in..like dam.,this by far the most difficult to choose from..both ya win in my books and definitely no losers on this spiff ..this could be a toss up,.both written excellent...one was a little more suspense for me,.salute and good luck to whoever advances. Affinity <Chapter666>	This is a nice and interesting read from both sides. One had such an interesting approach to it, and the other had some great storytelling methods. If I truly break it down to coverage of the topic, I would go with Row. But if I break it down to creativity and just an interesting method/enjoyment of reading through it I would probably go with En. Torn at the moment.
