<div>Little Tommy is 5 years old, being way too young to contemplate. His mother was in a rush for work and it slipped her mind to lock the gate. Half hour later Tommy was playing in the frontyard while his Father's on the phone. Asking his sister to come over and babysit and help watch the home. Before he could end his call there was a loud bang and tire screech. The father rushed outside and saw the commotion and watched as towards the sky the fire reached. Neighbours gathered outside their homes as police and ambulances stopped at the scene. Yelling out for Tommy, his father surveyed the chaos and then dropped to his knees... Stanley was an alcoholic, everyday after work he'd have a brew. Sometimes he'd have one too many, drive home after a shift and take a chance or two. He made the fateful mistake that day after his shift as a guard for late night security. He stopped at his favourite watering hole to imbibe on his favourite impurities. Got up to take a piss and when he returned and sat down he almost missed his seat. Linda the bartender just laughed and said "You're cut off Stan." and kissed his cheek. He groaned quietly and paid his tab and stumbled out to his car. Of all the places he could've gone to he had to have chosen this bar. He gets in and starts it up, the engine roaring to life and he peels out and blasts past a cop. He sees the light turning yellow and decides he's going to fast to stop. He hit the accelator like a madman as the light turned red and he barely made the light. Little did he know the next 30 seconds would forever change his life... Julie was a first responder, 31 years old and just started her morning shift. It was raining all night so all the roads were wet and it was pouring thick. The radio sounded off and she picked it up and thought "It's too early for this shit." She replied to the dispatcher and said "Alright, patch it through." "We have an accident near the intersection of Wilshire and Madison avenue." She paused for a second, that's near where she lives but thought nothing of it. "We're on our way." she said and quickly thought of her loving husband. The ambulance arrived at the scene quickly and saw the car involved was a mangled wreck. Julie quickly went to the driver side and saw that the man was almost strangled to death. Amidst the commotion she heard a familiar voice yelling, she'd heard it before in the past. When she stood up and looked around she saw her husband was the one screaming then it hit at last. She went looking for the other person and what she saw made her stop in her tracks. She instantly recognized the green sweater, she bit her lip to fight the bawling. As she looked upon the corpse of her son and his lifeless body. Julie and her husband divorced a year later, she took up drinking and hit the bottle hard. Quit her job and now works at Walmart overnight and views the world with a hostile heart. A butterfly flapping it's wings can create a hurricane on the otherside of the world quick as that. This is a story of how four lives were changed in a flash.                                                           </div>

Masked-Reaper Grand Champion Cypher Champion Scheme Champion	One had a real feeling felt verse, the other more imagery and descriptive. 2 very different verses for the topic . one had more elements for me, better job all round. GodTheReptilian <AC's> OtherWordly	Good offerings from both...one was more of a poetic composition, of ideas and thoughts...with all the fundaments, which was important...with reading in between the lines, form follows function in this aspect..but I was left lingering, a clifthanger for instance. The others piece was far more elaborate as well as descriptive, highlighting the premise of the actual movie...and delivered in rhyme form with a pretty solid storyline to boot. Overall, I felt the topic warranted dept...and expounded upon, a 4 stanza quatrain with such a topic is extraordinarily difficult to pull off with such a topic, but done well for sure. I went with who I thought built the better ideas and infused certain aspects in their piece that I could immediately relate to.
