ive got a bit of a thiory about this. i dont think the industry can possibly survive on cd sales or mp3 sales... its not even practical. theres leasing out youre music to radio and club nights or making mony of live events. live events bring in the moast reinue accross the board. dont expect to be able to sell a million cd's its not gonna happen! i would call it a p2p crisis... i would call it a revolution. i remember before we had boardband in the uk my eldest brother would buy mix tapes coppy them and give them to all his palls... say the artist in question had a gig in the local aria all the people who had the mix tape would probably go to the show. a cd is what a tenner... exposure is priceless. les monny in the hands of those that didnt work for it. im all about buying a cd from hmv and lining the pcets of my favrate artists but im sure they would rather see my face at a show... i know i would. plus take a leaf outta radioheads last realice... you could download it for 1p from there webiste. im sure thats the best exposure they ever had!
