Default What's your biggest weakness?

I'm interested to know what you guys think is your biggest weakness as a battler. I doubt a lot of people actually take the time to think about it or are even willing to acknowledge that they have a weakness.
Me personally, I think my biggest weakness is that I'm too rigid and focused on form that it sometimes impedes my creativity or the way it's expressed.
What do you think is the biggest single thing that you can improve on that will take you to that next level?

Probably time and effort. I've been told plenty of times I was on the edge of that next tier. I just don't get focused or as Jason would put it, "Stubborn" enough. My first few bars are usually really good and hit heavy but then I taper off because I lose focus. If I put more effort I could probably be a bigger threat lol.

My wording definitely, I feel my creativity's there, just need to focus on my wording and set-ups.

Word. I've seen some things from you that I would consider next level. You just gotta be more consistent with it.

I've had that issue too. Now I just try not the let the fact that I wanna rhyme or use a clever metaphor/wordplay drive me into saying something in a way I wouldn't normally say it in everyday speech.

I've never used a dictionary, but I have done things like think of the multis 1st and then think of the rhymes and the concepts to use them in. In the same fashion, I've also thought of words that could work as wordplay 1st and then think of the lines afterwards.
Eventually, I figured that that was the wrong way to go about it. It makes more sense to think of the concept 1st, and then figure out the multis or wordplay embellishment afterwards. It makes your writing style more concept focused, and people can tell.

Slant rhyming. I usually rhyme quite quickly, and if it comes to me easily I don't spent too much time thinking about it.

Ya no doubt that's a very good point you have. That's how I try to do it is think of the concept first but then again I Never really use wordplay that doesn't work both ways so if I am using wp in a bar than its usually nice.

I would suggest that you don't think of yourself as being in competition with other people. Your main and ultimate competition is with yourself, and the goal is to always outdo yourself and go harder than your very last drop. If you're thinking you're competing against other people on this site, then you won't feel as motivated because a lot of people would already feel like you're going to win. Don't let that rob you of the opportunity of actually improving. Your competition is You!
