COMING SOON: Site Contribution HoF

For a pretty long time users have been talking about adding a new category to the Letsbeef Hall of Fame, for Site Contribution. We're finally getting this up and running, and for the time being I will be the staff member in charge of doing this. I know this has been a controversial topic, so I want to make sure the category reflects what the community actually wants.

I'm opening this thread so users have a chance to give feedback on how the HoF works before it launches.

This is my proposal so far:

The Site Contribution Hall of Fame is for people who have made a significant positive contribution to the Letsbeef site, community and/or history. That wouldn’t necessarily mean in a staff role, although it could include exceptional staff members.

Users would not be eligible for induction into this category if they are already HOF for something else. Many HOF worthy battlers have made such an impact on the site through their battling (and forum presence and staff runs) but this is already reflected in their other inductions. This way, the Site Contribution HoF remains exclusive.

The HoF would be organised and run in the same way as the other categories, with nomination threads based on a poll and the approval of the responsible staff member (initially, me) followed by an official induction page within the overall HoF induction schedule. I imagine the induction pages would be structured and written very similarly to the Legacy Hall of Fame, though perhaps given the category's broad scope there would be room for more variety in what sections were included etc.

An example list of the kind of people that could be inducted based on the nature of their contribution is: RULE, EtH, NOBLE, Mayneak, Godbody, Mindless

That's not me nominating those people (some wouldn't even be eligible), but just an overview of the type of contributions it would honour. This thread isn't for people to nominate those they want inducted, but if you want to put someone's name forward as an example of the kind of contribution we'd honour please feel free.
