@Esso, I made this same point in another thread, mostly because I only post my verse every once in a while in an audio battle comment box... I just feel like it is over used as a method to explain complicated punches that would go over heads even with live battle gesturing... which I totally think its fine if you are explaining a line that would otherwise be more obvious with some gesticulation.

Can't underestimate some good old fashioned gesticulation...but then again, there is the luxury of the rewind button here. .Im on board with the overused sentiment...Im not an audio guy here so ultimately it dont matter...just funny to me.

I definitely don't think it should be against the rules. I do think it is a bit lame, though. I suppose I've read some valid reasoning in this thread for why people use the tactic, but it seems in a lot of cases to be a crutch for over complicated lyrics. I never read the shit anymore anyway, I just listen.
