This was actually pretty good, definitely an enjoyable and intelligently written outline. I hadn't been back for that long, I must say...a series such as this would be real helpful. As I'm trying to determine what's popular and unpopular now, in regards to verse construction as well as content.

I haven't read enough from Edge to draw a real comparison although I will say Edgeworth has much better wording than most people I've read on this site and his verse against Exwhyzee was very strong. If he can replicate that consistently then he's definitely a problem.

I haven't read enough from Edge to draw a real comparison although I will say Edgeworth has much better wording than most people I've read on this site and his verse against Exwhyzee was very strong. If he can replicate that consistently then he's definitely a problem.

This was a good read in that it was well written. I think Locks disdain for personals comes from the fact that almost everyone that was around when these incidents occurred reused the same ones over and over against him, and usually in progressively less creative and dope ways.

As far as my standing since it’s being discussed, I don’t have anything to prove really. I’m not here to proclaim my ranking of where I think I am because it doesn’t matter. but, I think talk of me being on the rise or needing to replicate my X verse are a bit ridiculous and probably come from not being well read on me, which is fine. But, my last 3 basic text wins are over Shodan, Rai, and exwhyzee. I also beat Rai 2x, Shodan, Lock and more on route to winning the last 2 text tournament titles. In general I have a winning (or even) record against most if not all the top texters out rn. So, I definitely don’t have anything to prove to “become a problem”.

I think there's a case to be made that Edge would probably beat Jimmy Hoffa if they battled tomorrow, but experience, consistency and achievement mean I still rank Jimmy as #1. My personal top 5 textcees on the site right now would be:

1. Jimmy Hoffa
2. Edgeworth
3. Shodan
4. Rai
5. Seul

But that's not a particularly deeply-held or well-considered list, just my thoughts on the subject. Of course, none of these have anything to prove, certainly not to me, and I could plausibly see any of them beating anyone on the site on their day, but that's just how I see the top textcees on the site. On a side note, I'd be interested to see what audio heads think of the top of the audio battlers. Seul is one of the most successful emcees in the site's history and has been considered the top audio battler since I've been here, but Jimmy Hoffa just beat him 95-5 in the GC semi-final and then Boro beat Jimmy so I think that that's really gone up in the air.
