Therefore the only logical explanation is that the gun was stolen and sold to me by a shady character who might've possibly used it
& Yes you can trace guns.... If you sell John a gun with serial number 555 and John is from California...If the gun with serial 555 is found at a crime scene in New York you better believe John is in hot water
Scratching off the serial does a lot. It's the difference between the gun getting traced back to John and John waking up the next day like nothing happened
Unless you guys think a gun fell from the sky and into my hands & I decided to scratch the serial off, there's a lot of reasons to scratch the serial off of an illegal firearm sold to you by a reputed gang banger
