You guys were right.

All of you guys that kept telling me that I was being a dumbass, that my style was going nowhere, or that I was too busy sucking my own dick to get better were right.

I was always WAY too much of an arrogant hipster to ever quit trying to do stupid experimental shit with my battles. RULE was right, I should have just focused on punching and let the other crap slide.

It's crazy because I was looking at some of the past champions and shit earlier, and I remember not only being better than a lot of these guys, but actually helping to bring them up and shit. I remember showing a bunch of dudes how to rhyme and flip words and shit. Hell, I remember spending fucking forever with Jason showing that guy how to word a verse smooth. Now he's a legend and I'm an occasional forum troll.

Seems like everybody I helped and shit ended up better than me. You guys just kept working on getting better, I went off on my own shit and never really improved.

I was always way too fucking concerned about dumbass shit trying to make my verses seem less "letsbeef" and not worrying about their quality. I spent a lot more time trying to not using nameplay, word every single part of my verse so that it flowed exactly the way I wanted it to, or trying experimental shit (repeating sounds, pointlessly long wordplay, double entendre word flips, deliberately obscure references/flips) rather than just worrying about punching and writing a solid verse.
