This dude is probably one of my favorite villains ever.. imo something is off about him though.. Maybe his posture but everything else looks dope..

And the back ground looks a little more realistic than he does..

Just trying something different. The whole thing was meant to look realistic...not like a cartoon or anything...and the background was meant to have more of a black/white look while he is fully colored. I agree about the posture seeming off. He's standing on a rock on the beach, but I suppose that's hard to see with his feet being hidden by the fractal light. Like I said...just trying something different. Thanks for the feed though.

i see, hmm

if your trying to go for realistic then try blending adjustments on top of the whole thing, you can keep his red while having a b/W bg, i'd personally lost the frac tho cause its pretty distracting and does the opposite of what your trying to do, if your loking for a realistic blur tho Motion Blur is the way to go

I did put color adjustments on the whole thing. I just lower the opacity cause I don't like my stuff looking monotone. And yea, i hear ya about the fractal and motion blur.

did you use layer adjustments as well? cause thats the only way i can suggest using G-maps

Softlight for depth (normally the Orange/violet 20-60 Opacity)

and Luminosity for the B/W gmap (100% Opacity) afterwards

I can't remember all what I did to this one, but I usually use at least 4 layer adjustments: two B/w gradients set to luminace, vibrance and a photo filter (not in that particular order)...and that's before I go into Topaz or whatever other filter I'm going to use.
