Scheme Championship (sign ups?)

The problem with recent nominations is the people nominated and appointed haven't been active. It's one thing to nominate yourself for the pretty title, it's another to nominate yourself because you genuinely want to help get shit moving again. I already tried holding a scheme sign ups thread and it was closed.
If someone active and who will get the job done is appointed then it's all good. I'm just tired of seeing the popular dudes getting a position like that then ghosting.
