Do you ever write bars and think they're dope, but when you read them back a few days later and think they're average/whack?

Do you think it's just because you're bored/used to them cuz you put work into them?

Yes. But not as much as I record and think it's good then look back and think it's terrible.

ticket always used to tell me that.... but more like every track he ever recorded...

i've gone back to shit i wrote years ago an found shit i still liked an shit i don't like... but its mostly wording issues like hearing an extra syllable or thinking i could have said it more effective....

Yeah Ticket always felt the same way. Kind of a perfectionist attitude i guess.

I've written live bars, that I obviously haven't used yet, I wrote them and thought they were good but now I read them back I think 'the fuck?' and don't know whether to change it, I remember Krhyme telling me to practice til I hated my own bars and I'm not sure whether it's just that, or I genuinely think they suck.

Wanted to see if you lot had similar feelings to stuff you've written? Ever BEFORE you've used it but used it anyway?

I always look back and want to change things. Like Phil said its usually just wording issues. My hyper focus on the bar stops me from seeing my mistakes, I gotta take my eyes off of the piece for awhile. I come back to a piece like wtf was I thinking there.

Kind of. When I look back at my bars, I look back at what could of been written, and what should of been written. Do I dislike them? Yea, some times I look back at my old notes and think "What the hell was I smoking thinking that ish was dope?" I guess as we progress forward we begin to see how under par we once were.

I Think The Greats (UA, DaDDio, iLLy, NawkOut, Jason, Etc.) All Have Amazing Patience To Perfectly Craft Their Bars Cause Their Shit Is Super Good (Plus They're Creative) But Still, I'm Sure They Check Their Shit Before They Post.

Or They Just Type Up And Post Cause They're That Good Lol Who Knows, They Good Look At Their Old Shit And Be Like, "That's Crazy Wack, What The Fuck????" And We're All Like, "Ayo Put That Motherfucker In The HoF For That Piece" Lmao
