If its a great idea and you line it out for people then you are doing everyone a favor and not many are going to get at you about it but on the other hand if you already know its a scam or have been scammed yourself then people are going to take exception to your shenanigans .

You've got yourself involved in an MLM...one that you most likely won't make any money in because you have very little experience in SEO & marketing

You pay $40 to get started and I'm sure its a monthly fee

A monthly fee you won't make back unless you get "X" amount of sign-ups which will then make you break even...

I've done a few of these...flopped badly my first time around, second time around was making an extra $200 a month (I know its not much, but its something) until the matrix program stopped accepting PayPal

These people usually pay you through an online payment processor or through a check in the mail. A picture of either would provide more proof than a stack and a chain, lol.
