The hotlist should be based on VP so 2 or 3 FVC or mod votes would beat out 8 or 9 shitty bullshit 'fv vb' buddy votes. I think it'd help the higher profile slept on battles hotlist over the whack ones more often

You can't do that because mods n FVC vote on a wide range of battles.

I could be wrong, but I think how high the ratings that are given on the first five votes as well as the ranking of the battlers in the current month has to do with how high a battle is placed on the hotlist.

I was just saying, people need to vote accordingly. I think people have become tighter, yes, but the ratings should definitely become obsolete some of time when a battle deserves to be on the hotlist... People used to throw 10s based on the fact that the hotlist needs to be filled up with better battles and then the usual ratings should come in. That should be done more often.

Yeah I've done that myself a few times. It's sad that you have to give a solid 8 or 9 battle all 10's but it's a good way to counteract the hoards of new guys who vote 4 or 5 rate battles all 10's or 9's

There should be some sort of 'LetsBeef Highlight Reel' Ran by a couple MODs or active members with a 'voting panel' or a group of judges that vote on each battle. The people running the highlight reel would post high-profile battles/tournament battles/ any battle they see fit for the highlight reel, and the 'voting panel' or judges involved would vote on each one. Since battles are open for three days, as long as all members are active it would only take 20 minutes out of their time every couple days & i think it would really help some of the better battles on the site get more attention.

I'd be willing to help out w/ anything to do with the highlight reel/voting panel if this is taken seriously
