Not Calling Anybody Out....But.....
The FVC needs to step it up.
Personally, I personally believe Letsbeef keeps making the same mistakes and voting people into these groups via polls and popularity contests, and who we think in the moment deserves to be there.
Not knocking the current members, but FVC selections would have been better if mods never advertised for it, and instead sat back and watched who was the most active and detailed with their votes. What I'm saying is backed by facts.
Only 1 of the FVC has over 10 votes since being inducted, and the top 4 voters of the site (Obviously Saaxxx with over 100 votes) aren't FVC members.
Rickey Lahey just quit because of a lack of voting. I hate to be "that" dude but I'm a longtime FVC member and I don't like what its become.

I slightly agree... I mean, some dudes doing well, some not so much. Though, we can’t select FVC folks based on who drops the most votes, no matter how long their expos on each battle are... a person needs to be able to understand and ‘catch’ bars, be able to write good set of bars in order to be able to know what they’re reading is wp, metaphorically sound etc etc...
We need to have a bit of both. Folks who are voting constantly that Know what bars are.
Edit: Saaxxx’s a good dude but isn’t FVC material. He votes a lot but a lot of stuff, complex or not, flys over his head... he still has a long way to go before having a better grasp of bars and understanding certain aspects. Just cause one drops a lot of votes doesn’t mean they should have a higher VP. If that’s the case, Bnas would’a been FVC for many years lol

Ricky's just a bitch.
But yeah voting on here is a big issue. So is biased voting for people who have no place among consistent members. I think if they just sent the most active and quality voters a message asking if they wanted to be in the FVC it would be better than having a vote. Maybe even instead of the title they just give them the power but not the title so no one knows/complains about people being in or not being in the FVC.
As much as I disagree with my homie @ The Saaxxx Baba on what styles make bars hit harder or not, the dude obviously deserves the spot for consistent voting, there ain't no nigga like him.

I agree with this..but we gotta understand that when someone votes its based on their personal preference..and a lot times a voter have their mind made up as far as who Won before they even click on the battle so whoever is the underdog has to have a flawless verse in order to get the vote. At the end of day the FVC is more about voting unbiased than dropping a lot of votes. I’ve been saying it and I’ll say it again. We need more rewards for voting, sumthin that would really motivate people to vote..lack of voting is killing activity point blank period.

Yeah, each persons vote is based on their personal preference to the battle they're voting on. Correct. Though, not everyone who is dropping lots of votes understands what they're voting on.
As for speaking on biased, that happens with a few people, some even mask their hate votes with generic comments... there are a lot of emotional e-thugs about the place though not everyone falls into these brackets and as part of the large scale, this isn't the main issue. The issue is the current credit system. The old system worked better than this. (Any system will always have 'faults' but those 'faults' aren't due to the system but the idiots/hate voters within the system)
This is whats needed!!

Saii I'm glad youre taking a more diplomatic approach in the threads but this was pretty much a callout. Lol but I'll bite
First, if the people had no say about FVC it would probably be left to mod decision. Thing is... whenever mods start making too many decisions people start belly aching about democracy and what not but hey, i see your point. But the popularity aspect isn't all that fair. "Popular" members earned their popularity through good battling, experience, voting, and an overall solid standing in the sites eyes. They earned that. I recognize guys like Saax and Rick who show great initiative in voting and skill improvement with every battle. I even encourage them to reach out to a mod for an extra FVC spot. BUT... I don't know if you noticed but they're both still pretty fresh to the site. Everyone in the FVC right now has been doing this shit for 2+ years minimum. Yes i know it's not about tenure... but its a bit unfair to discredit experience as just popularity.
Second, as for counting votes i personally said in my campaign for FVC that I would hit votes in the FVC thread and tourneys, then dip into open battles on my own time and free will. I've been considering dropping more fairs on opens for the sites sake in itself. If you want to burn me at the stake for not being head over heels for voting on someone's 15th snipe of the month without them asking me... fine. Lol But counting everyone's votes is something the mods specifically didn't want to encourage in regards to FVC.
I'm glad you brought up these points because it's made me reflect on my voting count and site standing. I'll consider "pumping those numbers up" wolf of wall street style but I just rather not repeat the "FVC bad" cycle for the 100th. Let's be real... Ricky left because 3 dudes haven't been voting enough? Really? Lol I'm sure the other 100 members on here could've lent us a hand ya know? but hey... like i said, my b.
