punk cries to try and make a point but it's lost on em. everyone (outside of me) agreed that personals are fair game, and the only thing people took exception to was fake personals. if you can't understand how a fake personal doesn't his as hard, that's your fault. in terms of a punchline, relating is paramount. most people won't be able to relate to an outright lie

You dudes fucking up the game running around talking about "dont know if the personals real or fake so I'm deducting points." Clown shit. Yall taking away from the culture with this cry baby soft "the personal might be fake" shit.
Lmfao cant believe this is what battle rap has become. Niggas deciphering if a personal is real or not. Lol imagine pulling out your phone and googling details about a personal in a live battle then saying "nah you're a liar. Look at what I found on facebook".
You're a homo and your wife barely like you because your dick is small and you ugly. Now tell me that's a fake personal; clown. Stop mentioning my name, fruit by the foot

I don't want to get caught in the crossfire here cos honestly, above all else I just don't care on this particular topic, but here's what I think:
If you're using real, completely true personals, as long as its information that is known about on the site then its fair game. If its something that isn't personally identifying information that the person chose to share with you off-site, it's also fair game, but I do think it's also fair for that person to be upset with you and for it to damage your friendship with them.
For 'fake personals', I think it comes down to believability. Stuff like "I'm gonna shoot you!" or "You are a gay prostitute!" are obviously untrue, so that doesn't even cross my mind when I'm voting and doesn't affect my reading of the bar. However, something that is extremely plausible but completely false (for example if I had a bar like "Punk has been sucking off EtH in the forums all year and never disagrees with him") then my mind will automatically ask "Is this true?" and when I think back and go "Oh no that's completely wrong", not only does it distract me from the actual punch but also makes me feel subconsciously disappointed in the bar. This is why I feel plausible but false personal accusations are less effective, not because there's something morally wrong or mean about them at all, but just because it serves as a distraction and puts me off while reading them.

If someone had a bar about "Punk has been sucking off EtH in the forums all year and never disagrees with him" it lands way better. Being that it's not true but since that's all I've heard since day 1, it still actually work the same way as a true personal. The idea of Punk "sucking off eth" sticks only because people compare us all the time even though were nothing alike. So that bar would still be fire.
"You got a mentor.. wow that's cute, even inVITES TO THE CREW; I told Seul "Show your "Worth" next thing ya know? Hes WRITING FOR YOU!"
This is what I said to Edgeworth and mfs are like "nah I know for a fact that's not true". Yeah no shit. The point of the bar was mainly for OOOOoooOoo! And comedy purposes. Almost like telling someone "you dont raise your kids right" or "your wife support your family more than you"..
Also you told me my "whole verse was built in with personals". Idek what this bullshit mean because an entire verse with personals to me is fire. That's where most battle rap verses shine. Imagine telling 2Pac he used too many personals in Hit em Up so the tracks not as good. LOL and yes Ik that's a song but it's the same idea. They had a battle.
The only downfall of having a fake personal done against you is that you cant rebuttal like in a live battle. Like when T-Top told geechi Gotti he a snitch and should've blinded his face in that good vlogs video.
Then geechi rebuttled with a "geechi should've hid his face, man that sound like someone hiding from something" punchline.
Thing is I've never complained about a fake personal used against me. Everyone here is so afraid that they might look bad, dudes are roaming the site in Iron man suits for protection.
