Agreed. Maybe have a shield instead of a bubble. Have the shields in different colors to represent the amount of votes, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum.

These look like trash and the mini arrows icon has a watermark in the first image so I'd have to create my own, only took a couple min each to do, but I could try to come up with some type of base image and just change the color scheme's and/or the design in the shields based on the amount of votes.
Why not have these icons or original bubbles with numbers place like the flames do for winning streaks and let the member choose which they prefer to showcase?
