LB Text Battle Formatting - Lets Beef

If our goal is to cater solely to the small group of people who have been here for years, then we can keep filling in the box, because that's what we are all used to. However, in relaunching LB as a mobile site, our goal is to attract a ton of newcomers and we need to keep that in mind. Most people who have never text battled will find a line by line format simpler and easier to follow. People who are coming from other sites will find the line by line format easier to adjust to since practically every other site uses that in their forum battles. We have to think baby steps and simplicity in order to attract a larger audience. I would even be in favor of exchanging the rating / comment form of voting in favor of a simple thumbs up or thumbs down. A well-written paragraph Expo may be preferable as far as votes, but on a mobile app, many people of this generation, with their short attention spans, may find it cumbersome to have to write a paragraph simply to say who they preferred.

This sounds like you're aiming for quantity over quality. Maybe that's out of necessity, since quantity brings in more money to motivate X to keep working on the site. But honestly? If people are too dumb and lazy to drop a rating and proper expo, fuck em. Let them use Battle App or some shit. LB is THE high-quality battle site and it should stay that way. If it turns into a low-effort dumping ground, I'm leaving.
