It wont go mainstream because artists like Lowkey aren't sell outs.
They refuse to be dictated by managers and media companies being told what to write about.

The more talented rapper such a as j Cole and Kendrick are STILL outselling these dudes. Name me one of those trap niggas who albums are going platinum.....
No one is begging people to listen to Lil Yachty... no one is begging people to listen to any of the “mumble” rappers. You niggas make that decision on your own, but instead of turning it off, you make a huge deal out of how they rap, nigga if it’s not for you it’s not for you..
People are upset because Yachty gets more recognition than the Nigga above.. why? Because the majority of their fan base is KIDS and people who like to party.. You can’t get mad at them niggas because they earning money off of music.

Why don't people do this with other types of music? There's political punk rock bands with deeper lyrics and message behind it but Blink 182, Sum 41, Fallout Boy, and shit have always been more popular. The Monkees sold more records than Bob Dylan. It's just what it is....most people put on music to entertain them, not to make them think or listen hard. You can't blame em for that.
