There seems to be two different mentalities here when it comes to titles and I'm just trying to see which is the more popular one.

ARGUMENT #1: There are too many titles floating around. Titles are one of the main incentives for people trying to win tourneys. When you have so many titles to the point where everyone seems to have one, it reduces the value of having one. Also, having so many tournaments where someone can earn a title means people end up not taking the tournament as seriously as they otherwise might have. If they miss it or no-show it, they'll just tell themselves "well, I'll get an opportunity to win another title next week."

ARGUMENT #2: We can never have too many titles or too many tournaments that offer titles. That's almost the only thing still keeping this place afloat because of the activity it sparks. More tournaments which offer titles also means more chances and opportunities for people to win something and that's a good thing.
