CAN THE U.S. DEFEAT RUSSIA?

It depends on what kind of war it is. Nuclear war would obviously result in the destruction of both countries, possibly the world. People don't realize that nuclear bombs have negative effects after detonation, which could last for years.

A war with Russia is a suicide mission for The United States. A war between the two on American soil would be even worse.

America has shown us since Vietnam that the military really isn't good as an invading force an they've never been invaded themselves. Where as Russia has shown us that they are willing to sacrifice millions for just the idea of their country. I'd rock with Russia, don't forget China has been a big ally to them same with Iran..... just think the last 30 years have been invaluable to them an the West underestimates the bond alot of people they have oppressed share with Russia.

I think if Britain was there backing the US then yes they could but NOT easily! Like its been said no one has defeated Russia. The main thing the US has going for it is $$$ a section of British troops is worth a platoon of US guys imo. Thats based off experience. Im not saying you haven't got some kick ass soldiers but on the whole they are not as well trained and lack the grit of a Brit. You have good equipment but just like with the Apache ours is better (we took a US helicopter and made it even better than your own apache LOL) our ECM ewuipment is also far superior to yours. What we lack is a decent Navy and Air Force really. I think Britian is as asset to America because of our Special Forces and maybe small specialist units. We lack the size to pose a real threat to a large country even if we do spend more on defence oer head than anyone else.

Also what would be the point in attacking Russia? MILLIONS WOULD BE KILLED on both sides. Its not the world of Empires any more. Any conflict would be very very short and decisive imo.

But in regards to the War. I believe America can Easily win any War, not trying to sound Arrogant like our Leaders, but we own the world Economy still for one reason. Our Military Power, Other countries Know this and its why we get to be the Bullies.We control the Currency, we invested wisely in an Amry that can help us Keep it.

As of 2014 Americans have 13 Aircraft Carriers in the Oceans. Which is Considered the Biggest asset in war Today other than Atomic Bombs. Closest Country is China with 3.. Russia is working on 2nd. Most countries cant even afford 1. We spend 630 Billion Dollars on Military last year(Just last year not counting last 50yrs). China spend 200 Bill and Russia 120 Billion. We spend More than the rest of the world all Combined.
I do not believe we could ever Invade Russia, No sir.. Even with all our Military force I believe we would fail. But we could easily win a War againt them, Even if China helped. But China Will not help, they want the Japs. and as soon as the World War starts, they got their own agenda, So i wouldnt Count them on the Russian Side. the Middle east, certainly, but they are not a threat.. Other than terrorist. lol.
