Because most people follow their religion by name, not by teaching. To me, if you're going to be religious, you HAVE to be fundamentalist. You can't pick and choose which pieces of the text works best for you. The Christian bible for example is AGAINST homosexuality. I'm not saying people should be coming out like Westboro Baptist, but I have more respect for them God Hates Fags freaks than people who cclaim to be a Christian and think that "Being a good person will get you into heaven".

I probably clinched to the Lethal Bizzle thing too much. He's a religious song writer who got LOADS of hate for his remix of Same Love, against homosexuality. Macklemore spoke down of religion in his song too, so the contrast was just annoying to see.

But if someone is fully committed to their religion, then they should be allowed to voice their opinions regarding it. But I agree that if they are gonna sit there and break all the rules, yet claim homosexuality is wrong, then they are nothing beyond hypocrites.

homosexuality is one of the most explicit sins...so while you are right technically..its also true that homosexuality is more like murder than pre marital sex.

plus the reality is that as long as homosexuals are vastly outnumbered, it'll always be an us vs them type of sin.
