I enjoy making multi accounts. I have fun with them. I usually let staff know when I make a new multi. I don't try to hide it whatsoever. Never had any trouble with my multi accounts. Before, when it cost credits to battle, my boy @Student would transfer credits from my main account to my multis so I could battle without voting. I don't vote on my multi accounts. They are just themed/gimmick accounts. The *only* time I pretended to be a new guy was on count wackula. I also wrote my lines at a "new guy" level. Creating multis is a part of my LB experience. I don't take this as serious as most, so coming up with "characters" is fun for me. I've never been a good battler. I just like being creative. Banning multis altogether would kill my dreams of creating a new gimmick account on a whim.

Nah, for real, though. I think as long as multi accounts are registered with staff or given 0VP off the bat, they should be fine. Just none of this bullshit "I'm a new guy" multis. No one likes that shit.

The thing is you can log in from a library, college, work. You can use vpns. The IP scan obviously isnt perfect. If it were multis would be way easier to police. As it stands, it's difficult to stay on top of.

That’s why banning multis won’t work. Anyone using one for nefarious reasons still can, and with a basic level of effort and competence can avoid detection. Banning multis will only stop the good guys, who just use them for fun and who bring a lot of humour and activity to the site. I think more comprehensive rules around multis and new accounts, like higher barriers to tournament entry and compulsory registering of multis with staff, is the best way to curb the malevolent multis but keep the innocent ones.

Okay agreed, completely. Everything you said is true.

Butttt, I draw the line when moderators KNOW regardless of VPNs etc, that somebody is another person, then they let is slide.

This isn't a debate on whether or not multis are good/bad, this a debate on whether or not is should be allowed. It's hard to detect people who dont want to be dected, agreed, but some people are very open about this stuff.

Y'all out here saying "They change the rules without updating the rules page?" Like this mod team aint out here doin shit. I'm 100% sure they out there doin shit for the site. I know RULE and Auto been doin shit for sure. X always been busy as shit cranking new shit out. This one little thing aint worth it honestly.
