I still see people dropping defeat/da feet wordplay in 2014. Dude went on an entire concept the whole time relating to planes and flying in them.

Yeah, taking one concept and absolutely murdering it from every angle is a nice ability to have as a battler. It's most impressive when done with one scheme, which is something that Huey Jazz is very good at.

The most creative battlers will have the biggest imaginations and the most eclectic vocabularies, for unique concepts and versatile schemework.

Basic and played wordplay is unforgivable. I was guilty of it in the past but now I can't fucking stand it. I see so many awful wordplays, even from vets, and when I did it in the past I was called out for it; so therefore I stopped. However, I saw it consistently in other people's verses and nobody kicked up a fuss.

I like people stretching schemes to their limit, it was Huey vs. Anon Poet that made me realise that: Although there wasn't anything immensely complex about the verse, the continuity of the schemes really display how much of a creative and imaginative writer they are, poetically and conceptually.
