I've advertised LetsBeef on my Twitter before. At a time where I had hella followers still. It's just that things change and business becomes strictly business.
I've worked on LB's page for free. That's my thank you to the site for the time I've spent on it.
Don't see why I'm getting antagonized for choosing not to blast LB on my page. That's my choice & I'm not doing so for valid reasons. Nothing you would understand if you're not involved in the business aspect of that site.
& I co-sign @ IV ... The site is where its at not due to the admins not caring. I was on this site since LB V2 ...before crews, before exclusive memberships, before My Emcee
The jump from V2 to V3 was huge. LetsBeef blew every other site out of the water, and in a way, still does. I don't have any stats to back up this next statement, but I'm sure the amount of users on LB doubled, if not tripled, after V3 was introduced
When this site is supposed to be the innovator as far as internet battling, as an owner, I'd make it my responsibility to change the user experience every few years to remain on top. Exclusive Membership wouldn't flop because with every new iteration of LB it'd just have more and more benefits. People would want to pay for it and the site would generate revenue
That said, I know a lot of money was spent on FlyHipHop and none of us fucked with it. But that site was a half-assed effort of a successor to what's already a great site.
But you can't let Apple die because Steve Jobs did, feel me

Just going to drop a couple of opinions on this whole "record day" thing;
What incentive do people have to come and sign on on a Friday? Free exclusive membership? What does exclusive membership really offer? Exclusive battles that nobody votes on, the ability to post tracks that nobody listens to, the ability to start crews when the crew scene on this site is already dead because crew battles have been broken for years? It's basic promotion, you to get new customers and to keep existing customers you need to offer something special that people want. Exclusive membership is dead, stop trying to push it like it's superior, get to the staff forum and brain storm new ideas.
Also, if Pugz wants to run this like a real business, then staff should act like real staff regardless of whether it's voluntary or not, if he really wants to take this seriously then staff shouldn't be able to slam their members in threads in which they are trying to help. Not saying that the staffing team on LB aren't worthy of their positions because most of them are.
Pugz needs to care about this site again, because he clearly doesn't, I sent him a long PM a while ago offering to advertise the BeatDisk side of things because I've got a hell of a lot of connections now that I've moved back to London, offered him free promotion and sent a few suggestions and he completely par'd them off and ignored the PMn which has lost him a potentially very good business opportunity. Me and Pulse know about business, I know a few others on the site have degrees and business experience too, we're not hating on the site, we're recognising where things aren't working and making suggestions.

Ex-Girlfriends SMASH Pulse's twitter through online advertising.

Agree with everything here. Exclusive offers nothing new, and the existing members need to be catered to over new members who find out everything is fucked.

Disagree with everything here. On sites I've been on for MMA/Wrestling and shit, I HATE when I'm getting warnings for swearing and double posting. I know those aren't the case here, but their mods are so strict to the rules that I cant do those what so ever. Having normal acting mods, who do their job well, is all that is required.

Degrees? Sorry, they mean NOTHING in the business world. But none the less, I agree. For my entire time on LB, admins haven't cared. X actually got at me once because I said he didn't care about LB, and he showed passion and love for LB when we talked about it...but what changed? Shit's still broke, no advertising is done, and people are always dropping off the site. These fixes NEED to be done, and LB can be not only an active, but a profitable site once again. Start by helping the current members (and not deleting their accounts while they are running the most active tournament in years ). Fix the issues now, LISTEN to the feedback. One you've done that, and got the current members positive and on board, you can get to advertising, get out name out there, and WE will help if that's the case. Otherwise, we'll drop one by one until the site you guys claim to love dies out.

pULSE is a cunt and everything, but at the end of the day, why SHOULD he promote the site? He's an LB dude just like all of us, more so than most. So when he sees the site going down hill with no signs of progress, why would he WANT to promote LB to people?

Eth I don't mean staff should be strict, I just think they shouldn't go off on members that are trying to help, if they get abuse, abuse them back, but mods START a LOT of shit on LB. I know a fair few members have left LB because of the way they are treated by staff.
Off the back of degrees mean nothing in business, studying business helps a lot regarding understanding basic business principles and definitely the principles of marketing and how to market products/services effective, granted I also believe that business is best taught through experience, or just somebody who has a raw business instinct, but when it comes to marketing there's a science to it, so when I said people that know about business I mean have studied it / have experience. You cannot know a lot about business without either trying to do something yourself and putting your own business theories to practice or worked in a business environment, or have studied it.

wait...yall sayin flop as if like yall ACTUALLY believed more than 600 people would on this site at once.. when the site did absolutely no promo besides a countdown clock? lol
are ya'll serious?
LB needs a marketing team. I could help with that since marketing is my profession. Plus early may was a bad date.. alot of the "active" population of this site are college students..people got finals around this time of year AND its a friday. The summer would be a better fit..like July. And should have bi-weekly prizes leading up to it like recruiting contests and talent showcases, etc that would improve site member morale and would give cats a sense of urgency to go out and make it happen. and should've integrated social media alot more. There's only 20-30 members online regularly so the success of this would rely heavily on outward focus and there was none.

In my drunken state, I'm not in a dick mood , so I don't mean offence when I say WHO? I could be a prime example to be fair. Just C knows that I was fully set on never coming back to LB on how pissed off I was that when helping the site, and doing an INSANE amount of work on the topical tourney, I was banned, followed by 5 years being deleted. But is there any other examples of this happening?

The people into business principles are the guys HIRED by business people to do that stuff. Business is more so about innovation and entrepreneurial actions. Marketing has some intricacies, but in this scenario I think it's pretty easy. Experience is important, but I feel you can EASILY be successful inexperienced. Adaptability is the key in those situations. When things arise that you are uneducated on or are stumping to you, you find a way to understand the situation and pass it. If you have creativity with ideas, and adaptability, I feel you can be a pretty successful person in the business world.
