I've been meaning to check the tape but there is no App for Dat Piff and the sites players don't work on this.

Agree on the buddy buddy attention. But it's not just battles, it's tracks too. You get mad clicky people who will only check so and so's music out. Which is sad because there is a lot of new music produced on a daily basis. If everyone went in the track section at least once a day to drop some feed the place would be popping again: but unfortunately with the clicky nature and the "it's cool to ignore the track section" ( I mean why else would you avoid it? Because it's RIGHT THERE! and anyone saying there isn't decent music posted there is talking out of their ass. It's like it's the THING to do, to not stop by there, play, feed and rate. Granted. I hardly stop by there anymore but I've done enough voting on there to last others a life time.
