Most emcee's use beef tracks as a way to test new styles, or just have fun.... some use them for practice, and some just like to Beef....

its all a matter of perspective , wat you may see as a waste, others will see as Fun , Practice, hobby or just a reason to shit on someone...

I feel that diss track are more personal, as to battles are for sport you know? At the end of a battle, you say good shit, shake hands, shit like that. Good sportsmanship in general. But when you make a diss track it's usually out of bad blood, you are trying to make em catch a feeling or two, hurt their pride. You don't say "Good diss man" when you get dissed. If they get ya good, you say "The fuck"? And you respond and beef starts.

this actually is a good point.

for me...nooothing beats throwing on a beat and just seeing where my mind takes me on it. i guess the beef element feels like handcuffs cuz you gotta keep addressing them and being clever..

being clever is cool..but being dope is better to me..sometimes regular shit can sound dope as fuck
