ask cizzle what he has man..dudes got nice quality...and im sure he aint spent a fuck ton of money on it.... and just c has a valid point on the environment in which u record in.... hardwood floor and plaster walls create echo...and dry wall and carpet make ur quality alot cleaner.... just saying....its not the microphone that makes an emcee great...its the emcee...good luck

Honestly I blow my money on a bunch of dumb shit all the time, I'm just tryna actually invest cause ppl be wanting to come record and I wanna charge. I plan ok spending around 3 stacks for my while setup. Stack on a newer laptop, stack on pro tools 10, interface, mixer etc. and a stack for the mic. The reason I wanna spend so much us cause I spent a lil over 100 for the mic I got now and wasn't satisfied, just wanna make sure I'm getting something worth it. So if y'all know any microphone names or links that would be appreciated

And what u mean so and so bought the car and can't afford to drive it? This a way better investment than a car to me, there no insurance or gas money I gotta worry bout after the purchase. And trust I know spending the amount u can get a pound wit on a mic sound crazy. But if u already got a pound wouldn't u wanna snow and record on crystal clear quality? Lol

you left out one major factor, your budget...if you have that kind of money - and have a plan to get some kind of return, then i say go for it...the purpose behind my comment was that alot of ppl ask me what type of mic to get - always thinking they need to spend hundreds - when they dont even know the basics of recording
