I feel like there's a difference between just receiving some feedback and actually being trained. Like when I received feedback for my first text battles I was still a 1/10 until I've actually been trained now I'm like a 2.5/10

Not only that, but it isn't the responsibility of the userbase to make you better. It's your responsibility to make yourself better. Ask for feedback/criticism, take your voting feedback into account, read battles from the better established battlers. These are prime ways to get better. But, expecting people to give you, or to presume that they owe you some sort of mentorship, or to want to put a system in place that essentially forces them into this role not only takes the responsibility to get better off of the individual, but, is an overall idiotic notion.

People that don't want to help mentor others are either lazy, selfish or trash. Anyways, if anyone needs some help improving send me a PM w/ some example bars. This way we can nit pick it together and get into detail...
